About

Eva Chen, CoFounder
Eva Chen is a student at Yale University studying Economics and History. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Eva is one of California’s 80 Emerging Artists named by the California Arts Council, a National Scholastics & Art Gold Medalist, and was inducted into San Mateo’s Women Hall of Fame for her work in activism and art. Eva grew up with a natural hunger to write — but didn’t become a poet until her freshman year of high school, after watching Sarah Kay’s “Mrs. Ribeiro” spoken word performance on Button Poetry. Passionate about education, she believes in the power of words to teach and inspire. She founded Footprints on Jupiter with her sister, Angela, in hopes of fostering, and perserving the small fortune of being able to create art in this life.

Angela Chen, CoFounder
Angela Chen is a student at Berkeley University studying Molecular Environmental Biology in the Rausser College of Natural Resources. Angela carries a background in merging art and environmental activism, with her portfolios being featured across storm drains and community murals, where she uses visual storytelling to promote ecological preservation. Her work explores the intersection of nature and art, using natural elements, organic forms, and vibrant ecosystems as inspiration to create pieces that not only reflect the beauty of the environment but also call attention to its fragility.
